iCale Attendance App Privacy and Policy.
At Connect Services, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our employees' personal information. Our attendance app, which utilizes face recognition, time stamps, and location, the application is designed with strict policies and procedures to ensure the responsible and ethical use of this data.
Data Collection and Use:
- The attendance app collects employee facial biometrics, time of check in and check out, and location data via GPS when the app is in use.
- This data is used solely for the purpose of accurately tracking employee attendance and working hours. It is not used for any other purpose without the explicit consent of the employee.
- Facial biometric data is stored for a month securely and is not shared with any third parties, except as required by law, and the data is not retained for more than one month.
- Time and location data may be used in aggregate form for business analytics purposes, but individual employee data is not sold or provided to any external parties.
Data Security and Retention:
- All employee data collected through the attendance app is stored on secure servers with strong encryption and access controls.
- Facial biometric data is archived after 30 days, and is not retained.
- Time and location data is saved for payroll and attendance tracking purposes. After a fiscal year will archived.
Employee Rights and Consent:
- Participation in the attendance app is mandatory for all employees, as it is a critical component of our payroll and attendance tracking processes.
- Employees have the right to request a copy of their personal data collected through the app,
- Employees can opt out of location tracking within the app, though this may affect the accuracy of their attendance records.
- Employees will be notified of any changes to this policy or the attendance app's data collection and usage practices.
